students to enrol in the postgraduate university study programme in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
in the academic 2024/2025 year
I.
• Postgraduate university study programme in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is carried out in the scientific field of Technical Sciences at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek.
• Postgraduate university study programme in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science lasts for three years, i.e. six semesters upon which students earn 180 ECTS credits and the academic title of the doctor of science.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Three categories of students can enrol in the postgraduate university study programme as follows:
- Candidates who completed graduate university study programmes or four-year university pre-Bologna study programmes in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Math or Physics at Croatian universities with an average undergraduate and graduate or a four-year university pre-Bologna level grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.8 are eligible to enrol in the postgraduate university study programme. Pursuant to the proposal of the Doctoral Committee, the Faculty Council can make an exception and approve for a candidate, whose GPA is lower than 3.8, but not lower than 3.0, to enrol in the postgraduate university study programme based on recommendation letters issued by two university professors or research results accomplished by the candidate. Candidates holding a degree in Math, Physics or Computer Studies will be obliged to take a differential exam and/or courses.
- Candidates holding a Master’s of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a degree in related technical and natural sciences who graduated from Croatian or foreign universities are eligible to enrol in the postgraduate university study programme in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science upon undergoing the process of recognition of academic diplomas. For candidates holding a Master’s of Science degree the Faculty Council can list differential exams in case a candidate wants to enrol in a module different from a scientific field he/she obtained a degree in.
- Candidates holding a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from foreign universities are eligible to enrol in the postgraduate university study programme after undergoing the process of recognition of academic diplomas possibly followed by taking differential exams.
Speaking one foreign language is mandatory and the proof of knowledge is to be submitted.
III.
In addition to the application form, the candidates are obliged to enclose:
- a diploma or a certified copy of a graduate, four-year university undergraduate (pre-Bologna) or a postgraduate Master degree diploma;
- a diploma supplement related to undergraduate and graduate or four-year university undergraduate (pre-Bologna) study programmes or a transcript of records;
- recommendation letters of two university professors if a candidate’s GPA is lower than 3.8 but not lower than 3.0;
- a birth certificate, certificate of nationality or proof of citizenship and two photographs (4x6 cm);
- Curriculum Vitae;
- a list and copies of published professional and research papers;
- a list of patents and participation in projects;
- a company or institution's decision on paying the tuition fee (if legal persons are paying the tuition fee) or a personally signed statement (if the candidates themselves pay the tuition fee).

IV.
Costs of the postgraduate university study programme in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
The total tuition fee of the postgraduate university study programme in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science amounts to 6,768.86 euros, and can be paid in 6 instalments of 1,128.14 euros prior to the enrolment in the higher semester or one can use bank loans.
The total tuition fee for Master's degree holders is 3,583.52 euros and can be paid in 3 instalments of 1,1974.51 euros before the enrolment in the higher semester.
The tuition fee is paid at the account of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek, IBAN: HR19 2390 0011 1000 16777, Hrvatska poštanska banka.
V.
SELECTION procedure:
During the selection procedure, the Doctoral Committee will evaluate a grade point average of all grades candidates earned during their undergraduate and graduate study programmes or four-year university undergraduate (pre-Bologna) study programmes. Additionally, the Doctoral Committee will evaluate published papers and evaluate candidates during interviews, which is a mandatory part of the selection procedure. Pursuant to the report done by the Doctoral Committee, the Faculty Council makes the final admission decision sent to candidates via e-mail.
A candidate who does not attend the interview will no longer be considered as a candidate.
Candidates are selected pursuant to the aforementioned selection procedure.

VII.
Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
The candidate has the right to submit an objection to the election procedure within 24 hours after the announcement of the results of the candidate selection procedure.
All terms which have gender significance cover both genders.
