Course description

Introduction to business economics, production theory, types of production costs, cost dynamics, demand and supply, consumer behaviour, cost calculation, investment calculation, business calculations, business performance measures (economic performance measurement metrics, business success strength measurement methods), economic resources, purchasing, logistics, business plan, business information systems, entrepreneurship and entrepreneur (economic and social prerequisites for founding and successful business operations).

Knowledge and skills acquired

After the successful completion of the course, students acquire knowledge of company economics, costs, effects, calculations, business results and profitability factors.

Classes are taught with ICT.

Provođenje sveučilišnih anketa o nastavnicima (pristup prema studentima, transparentnost kriterija, motivacija na
izvršavanje aktivnosti, jasnoća izlaganja, i sl.). Provođenje fakultetskih anketa o predmetima (nakon položenog predmeta
samoevaluacija studenata o usvojenim ishodima učenja, te o opterećenosti u usporedbi s ECTS-ima aktivnosti i predmeta

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

1. use basic concepts related to microeconomics

2. define the concept of production and know how to interpret the production function

3. define the term amortisation, calculate it by using one of the methods for calculating amortisation and interpret the result

4. define the terms interest rate and interest calculation and choose the calculation method in the tasks

5. define costs and elaborate on the types of costs

6. explain the term investment calculations and apply certain methods of assessing the viability of the investment
