Undergraduate professional study programme in electrical engineering
Students who complete their Undergraduate professional study programme of electrical engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek acquire the necessary skills and competences to apply their knowledge of mathematics, physics, informatics and engineering to electrical engineering, automation, as well as to electrical and process measurements which prepares them to adapt to technology changes and new techniques as part of the lifelong learning process. Since they are introducedto a variety of standards and regulations, students are qualified to design and maintain electrical and computer systems, as well as to prepare relevant documentation.
The Undergraduate professional study programme in electrical engineering educates professionals in the fields of power engineering, informatics and automation.

The first year of the undergraduate study programme in Electrical Engineering, branch Informatics has been suspended since the academic year 2018/2019. The study programme of the first year of the undergraduate study programme in Electrical Engineering, branch Informatics is equivalent to the undergraduate study programme in Computer Engineering, which has been launched since the academic year 2018/2019.
Upon completion of the undergraduate professional study programme in Electrical Engineering, branch Informatics, students will be able to:
- using basic mathematical and physical knowledge, construct a model for solving engineering problems and a model for evaluating experimental results in the fields of electrical/computer engineering;
- apply formal and terminological expressions and phrases in both written and oral general and business communication in Croatian and in a foreign language;
- create new impacts and business value added by applying adopted economic knowledge and skills;
- evaluate the operating conditions of different types of electrical machines by performing electrical and mechanical measurements;
- solve simpler problems in steady-state electric and magnetic fields and in electric circuits;
- design digital circuits based on defined functionalities and properties, as well as on analyses of structure and operation of digital circuits;
- develop one's own software solutions by applying software engineering principles and appropriate programming environments and languages for developing application software;
- analyse and evaluate the functionality and efficiency of one’s own developed software solution;
- design a software solution for work with databases;
- determine information system parameters and create an implementation plan for a local network;
- define the procedures for signal preparation and processing (image, speech, audio and video compression and coding) and analyse the operation of digital communications systems;
- define the features of electronic components and analyse the operation of electronic circuits in discrete electronics;
- identify engineering tasks, necessary knowledge and skills related to manufacturing technologies, measures, procedures, regulations and norms for ensuring work safety and employment protection.

- solve (non) linear and time- (in)variant power networks by conducting electrical measurements in the network and evaluating the obtained results;
- solve simpler problems in steady-state electric and magnetic fields and in electric circuits;
- analyse the structure and operation of digital circuits and design digital circuits based on well-defined functionalities and features;
- develop and verify microprocessor and microcontroller systems and related software support by applying development tools and environments based on defined requirements;
- analyse process and automatic control algorithms;
- construct a model of a linear, continuous and time-invariant system in the time and frequency domain;
- develop one's own software solutions by applying operation principles of computer and software systems and networks, as well as appropriate programming environments and languages with the evaluation of network security mechanisms;
- define the features of electronic components and analyse the operation of electronic circuits in discrete electronics;
- identify engineering tasks, necessary knowledge and skills related to manufacturing technologies, measures, procedures, regulations and norms for ensuring work safety and employment protection.

- using basic mathematical and physical knowledge, construct a model for solving engineering problems and a model for evaluating experimental results in the fields of electrical/computer engineering;
- apply formal and terminological expressions and phrases in both written and oral general and business communication in Croatian and in a foreign language;
- create new impacts and business value added by applying adopted economic knowledge and skills;
- evaluate the operating conditions of different types of electrical machines by performing electrical and mechanical measurements;
- analyse design and modes of operation of different types of converters in industrial plants;
- solve (non) linear and time-(in)variant power networks by conducting electrical measurements in the network and evaluating the obtained results;
- solve simpler problems in steady-state electric and magnetic fields and in electric circuits;
- develop one's own software solutions by applying operation principles and technologies for developing computer and software systems;
- analyse all energy transformations in the chain starting with non-renewable natural and renewable energy sources to the ultimate and useful forms of energy;
- put into practice theoretical knowledge and acquired skills related to environmentally acceptable electricity generation, transmission, distribution and consumption;
- based on simulations and calculations, design power networks, plants, installations and lighting;
- define the features of electronic components and analyse the operation of electronic circuits in discrete electronics;
- identify engineering tasks, necessary knowledge and skills related to manufacturing technologies, measures, procedures, regulations and norms for ensuring work safety and employment protection.

The undergraduate study programme in Computer Engineering has been launched since the academic year 2018/2019, hence the second and third year of the study programme are not to be carried out in the academic year 2018/2019. The study programme of the second and third year of the undergraduate study programme in Computer Engineering is equivalent to the undergraduate study programme in Electrical Engineering, branch Informatics.
