Course description

Introduction. Technical systems. Properties of technical systems. Developing technical systems. Technical systems classification. Electrical systems. Design. Basic development theory. Creativity. Structure of process developing. Project types. Operations and activities in designing. Containment design process integrated design access. Decision making. Knowledge-base and data-base. Knowledge resources. Data acquisition and preservation. Technical concept solutions. Catalogue of knowledge and skills. Optimal and alternative project solution. Choice. Project standardisation. Technical project standardisation. Introduction of norms and standards into technical systems. Evaluation of projects in electrical engineering and introduction of regulatory rules about project realisation.

Knowledge and skills acquired

During the course, students acquire general knowledge of technical systems, the norms and standards applied in electrical engineering systems as well as regulatory rules about realisation of electrical engineering projects.

Examination methods

Oral exam upon successful completion of a programming assignment.

Course assessment

Conducting university questionnaires on teachers (student-teacher relationship, transparency of assessment criteria, motivation for teaching, teaching clarity, etc.). Conducting Faculty surveys on courses (upon passing the exam, student self-assessment of the adopted learning outcomes and student workload in relation to the number of ECTS credits allocated to activities and courses as a whole).
