Pursuant to the Cooperation agreement between Technische Hochschule Deggendorf (hereinafter referred to as TH Deggendorf) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (hereinafter referred to as FERIT or the Faculty), signed on 23 December, 2020, the Faculty announces
Call for submitting applications to study at TH Deggendorf
Students studying at the graduate university study programme in Automotive Computing and Communications can apply to take a summer semester in the academic year 2020/2021 at the aforementioned institution.
If students take all exams within the study programme in Applied Computer Science at TH Deggendorf, specified in the Cooperation agreement, during one (summer) semester study stay at TH Deggendorf, they will be eligible to obtain a diploma for that study programme issued by TH Deggendorf.
In order to be eligible to obtain a diploma issued by TH Deggendorf, students have to:
1. Pass all exams at the graduate university study programme in Automotive Computing and Communications (FERIT)
2. Pass all exams at the study programme in Applied Computer Science (TH Deggendorf) specified in the Cooperation agreement
3. Do a Master thesis co-supervised by a professor affiliated to TH Deggendorf.
Upon meeting all requirements and defending a Master thesis, the student will obtain two different diplomas for each of the said study programmes.
In order to be eligible to study at TH Deggendorf, the student shall meet the following requirements:
a) successfully complete the first semester (take all courses and pass all laboratory/construction exercises);
b) earn at least 17 ECTS credits* (by passing exams at the current study programme).
*Students who still have not earned the required number of ECTS credits can apply for the study programme if they will earn the required number of credits during the winter examination period.
Students are selected to study at TH Deggendorf in a two-stage process. In the first stage, pursuant to students’ applications and a potential interview run by the Faculty representatives, a list of nominees is composed. In the second stage, a final decision on accepting students to study at their study programme is made by TH Deggendorf.
Submitted applications will be evaluated pursuant to:
1. Documents collected by FERIT:
1.1. A transcript of records (study programme in Automotive Computing and Communications)
2. Documents submitted by students:
2.1. A transcript of records related to the undergraduate study programme
2.2. Europass Curriculum Vitae in the English language
2.3. Foreign language certificate
2.4. International practical training certificate
2.5. International study certificate
Documents listed in 2.3., 2.4. and 2.5. are not mandatory but they will be evaluated.
Students can apply to study at TH Deggendorf by sending the e-version of documents to dit-apply@ferit.hr by 15 February 2021. Students can be asked to submit their documentation in both a hard copy and an e-form retrospectively.
