We want to thank everyone who expressed interest in Optiva Academy. We received enough applications and will soon be in contact with the candidates. However, we still have open graduate positions:

Employment – Graduate positions

Graduate Software Engineer

What will you do?

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Java
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop software solutions that meet those needs
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards
Perform unit testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve software defects
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in software development and apply them to the design and development of new software solutions
Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of code
Contribute to a positive work culture by collaborating with colleagues and promoting a supportive and collaborative environment

What do you need to succeed?

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (Min 2:1)
Experience with Java, C++, C# or .Net
Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Not essential but great to have

Experience working with Cloud solutions (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
Knowledge and experience of DevOps
Work placement in a software engineering role

Graduate QA Engineer

What will you do?

A QA Engineer assists with the development, execution, and automation of tests to ensure quality metrics are met
Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals

What do you need to succeed?

BE / B.Tech. / Equivalent degree in Computer Science
1-4 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role
Demonstrable experience testing complex applications, preferably on Unix/Linux based platforms.
A methodical approach to problem-solving
Exposure to test automation tools or scripting languages

Other useful Qualifications

Experience working in a cloud environment
Experience working with databases
Experience or knowledge of CICD
