On Friday, 23 January 2026, the Committee for the Popularisation of Science at FERIT is organising the Doctoral Studies Day, intended for doctoral candidates and early-career researchers.
The event begins at 11:45 am and will take place in room K1-16, FERIT Campus.
The programme starts with an introductory lecture by the Vice Dean, followed by presentations by the following doctoral candidates:
- Tea Krčmar: Competitive Learning Dynamics in Unsupervised Ensemble Systems
- Marina Peko: AI-Driven Restoration of Historical Photographs via Synthetic Ground Truth Generation
- Patricija Ronta: Real-Time Simulation Model of a Ferroresonant Circuit
- Dina Šabanović: Combining Multiple Machine Learning Models in Data Analysis
- Miljenko Švarcmajer: Smartwatch as an Entropy Source for Cryptography
The final part of the programme is dedicated to a poster session and informal networking.
