The Office for International Cooperation acts as an implementation unit for the preparation and implementation of activities related to international, scientific and professional projects and programmes of outgoing and incoming mobility of students, teaching and non-teaching staff. 

The Office plays an extremely important role in the preparation and implementation of projects, which is reflected in the provision of information on open calls for proposals and the support provided to faculty staff in the administrative preparation and implementation of projects. 

The Office is also responsible for coordinating activities and events related to the Faculty's international cooperation, such as the conclusion of bilateral agreements with universities and faculties and international academic and student exchanges.

Scientific and research work at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT) has a 40-year tradition, implemented by professional research staff, and the results and quality of scientific research work are constantly increasing.

Even today, research and scientific and professional projects continue to initiate a range of activities at the Faculty and strengthen the research and innovation infrastructure, thus realising better research activities and teaching enriched with new knowledge and technologies.

In the last five years, FERIT staff have participated as project leaders or collaborators in numerous research and technology projects, as well as in projects aimed at improving study programmes.

The Faculty actively participates in the preparation and implementation of projects using various sources of funding such as the European Structural and Investment Funds (ERDF, ESF), Horizon 2020, the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programmes, the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ), funds from the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovation and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO), the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, etc.

By participating in an increasing number of projects, FERIT, in addition to improving the quality of research activities and study programmes, systematically invests in equipping the laboratories with modern electrical and computer equipment, which is necessary to achieve, maintain and improve high standards in research, teaching and business management of the Faculty.
