As part of the Teach.ing program, FERIT, in cooperation with industry partners CROZ, Nexify Consulting, ERGA and SolarWinds, offers industry-led educational programs aimed at developing specialized, market-relevant skills for students.
The Teach.ing program provides students with the opportunity to develop practical skills and establish direct contact with industry professionals.
The following skills are available to students:
1. Programmer in the COBOL Programming Language (CROZ)
This skill is focused on developing foundational knowledge of COBOL programming for working in large-scale business and mainframe environments. The program includes hands-on project work, software development and testing, as well as working with databases, preparing students for modern enterprise and mainframe systems.
Participants may gain the opportunity for internships or further engagement on CROZ development projects.
2. Android Academy (Nexify Consulting)
The Android Academy is intended for students interested in mobile application development. The program enables the development of professional Android applications from the ground up, introducing participants to key tools, programming concepts and development processes used in modern mobile solutions.
Participants are provided with mentoring support and guidance to further develop their Android development skills.
3. Customer Success Engineering (SolarWinds)
This skill focuses on understanding and categorizing end-user business needs and creating tailored solutions. The program covers topics such as organizational structures, business requirements analysis and solution design, offering students insight into the crucial connection between technology, products and customer experience.
4. Industrial Internet of Things and Smart Manufacturing (ERGA)
This skill is aimed at connecting digital systems with physical industrial processes. The program introduces participants to IIoT concepts, smart sensors, industrial communications, and data analytics, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application in the field of smart manufacturing.
Participants may gain the opportunity for internships or further engagement on ERGA projects.
