OpenCode.HR has officially been launched today as a collaborative open-source software platform designed for the academic and research community in Croatia. The platform aims to support open collaboration, knowledge sharing and the sustainable development of software within higher education and research institutions.
FERIT is participating in this joint initiative together with SRCE (University of Zagreb University Computing Centre), the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), and the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI). Through this collaboration, the partners seek to strengthen cooperation across institutions and provide a shared digital space for the development and exchange of open-source solutions.
The platform is intended for a wide range of users within the academic and research ecosystem. It supports students working on project-based assignments, seminar papers and final theses, as well as researchers developing scientific software. In addition, OpenCode.HR enables teaching staff to share educational materials, source code and examples, and to support practical exercises. The platform is also designed for project teams collaborating on joint developments and for all contributors who publish open-source tools.
Members of the academic and research community are invited to explore the platform and take part in knowledge sharing through open and collaborative software development.
