The two-day event FERIT.AIxperience 2026 will take place on 1–2 June 2026 at FERIT, Cara Hadrijana 10b, Osijek. Its programme focuses on the role of artificial intelligence in education, research, and industry through lectures, workshops, discussions, and project presentations. It brings together students, researchers, and professionals to exchange knowledge and discuss current developments and practical applications of AI. The programme includes lectures, workshops, the AI meet.ing, the Student/Ph.D. meet.ing, a panel discussion and AI project pitch talks.

The first day begins with the AI meet.ing, featuring the following lectures:

1. Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging - Assistant Professor Jelena Božek, PhD (FER); lecture sponsored by IEEE

2. From Pixels to Action: How Foundation Models Are Transforming Robotic Perception – Full Professor Robert Cupec, PhD (FERIT)

3. “I’m Just Using an API” – and Other Expensive Misconceptions About the EU AI Act – Assistant Professor Hrvoje Leventić, PhD (FERIT)

On the same day, in cooperation with CROZ, participants will also have the opportunity to attend the lecture AI-assisted software engineering in theory and practice and the workshop Hands-on AI-assisted software engineering: Beyond vibe coding. The second day continues with the Student/Ph.D. meet.ing, dedicated to presenting research conducted by students, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers, followed by the AI project pitch talks, where various artificial intelligence projects will be showcased. The programme will conclude with the panel discussion The Future of Software Engineering Careers in the Age of AI, featuring Josip Šokčević (Valley Labs), Brando Koch (Intelligentia), and Hrvoje Leventić (FERIT).
