After a successful first year, the course Basics of Mainframe Technologies will be held again in 2026, offering students the opportunity to explore one of today’s most important technological platforms. Mainframe systems form the foundation of reliable and secure operations for the world’s largest banks, insurance companies, and many other critical systems.
The first generation of participants achieved outstanding results, with the most successful students rewarded with participation at the international Mighty Mainframe conference. The course provided not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills, opportunities to obtain relevant Interskill certifications, and access to internship opportunities.
During the program, students will learn to:
- manage mainframe operating systems and tools
- work with transaction systems, virtualization, and databases
- apply security solutions and use modern container platforms
This year, the Mainframe Academy program is further expanded through the introduction of the COBOL Programmer skill within FERIT’s Teach.ing program. It is intended for students who wish to develop their careers in the direction of software and development engineering.
Students interested in attending the Basics of Mainframe Technologies course and/or the COBOL Programmer skill program can express their interest by completing the SURVEY.
