Last week, on October 8–9, 2025, FERIT hosted the seventh edition of DOVIK. The two-day event brought together students, companies and researchers through a program of lectures, panels and networking activities. Throughout the event, 31 companies from various sectors presented internship and employment opportunities to FERIT students.

The program included 24 lectures covering current technology trends and career development topics. Also, two panel discussions were held: “Internship at the Faculty,” where students and mentors shared their experiences, and a panel dedicated to the first year of the FERIT Mainframe Academy, featuring students and professors involved in this new academic program. DOVIK also featured the PhD meet.ing, an event aimed at connecting doctoral students and researchers, as well as a guest lecture by Josip Šokčević, organized by the AMA-FERIT association, titled “A Decade in San Francisco and the Return to Osijek.” His story offered valuable insight into building a career within the global tech landscape.

Once again, DOVIK proved to be one of FERIT’s key events linking students with the business community. The Faculty extends its sincere thanks to all students, companies, volunteers, lecturers, and media partners who contributed to the success of this year’s event. FERIT will continue to organize initiatives that help students grow personally and professionally, and take confident steps toward their future careers.
