Last week, FERIT hosted the international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “Speak, Lead, Connect: Essential Communication and Soft Skills”, which brought together students and (non)teaching staff from ten countries and three continents. The programme was focused on developing communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment through interactive workshops, discussions and practical activities.
During the five-day programme, participants explored a wide range of topics – from intercultural communication, professional English and business correspondence to leadership development, public speaking and conflict resolution. The activities were based on individual and team work, case studies and simulations of real-world professional situations.
In addition to the educational component, the programme also included cultural experiences, such as a guided tour of Osijek’s historic Tvrđa district, as well as a gala dinner that provided an opportunity for informal networking and the exchange of experiences among participants.
The programme concluded with participant presentations in which they demonstrated the public speaking and professional networking skills acquired during the week, rounding off a dynamic week of learning, experience sharing, and international collaboration.
