The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT), Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek is a modern educational and research institution with extremely great development potential. The geographical position of the Faculty, in the Croatian region with the fastest growth and development of the IT sector in the last decade, provides strategic advantages for further Faculty development and contribution to the economy at the regional and national level. The rapid development of companies in the area has increased the need for professionals with specific competencies in the fields of electrical engineering, computing and information technology. The proximity of fast-growing companies is a great advantage of the Faculty, which consequently calls for continuous development of new and improvement of current study programmes to be in line with the labour market needs.

The development of new technologies leads to new occupations in the areas of the study programmes carried out at the Faculty. New occupations impose new trends in student education, but also provide new opportunities for the development of Osijek companies that work on global markets. That being said, new contents can be added to the study programmes allowing the Faculty to globally develop new technologies.

The Faculty carries out the study programmes at three higher education levels, namely university and professional undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level. All study programmes are frequently harmonised with the current labour market needs in order for our students to acquire competencies and skills that will prepare them for the labour market.
