The Faculty aims to educate undergraduate, graduate and professional study programme students able to keep up with the ever-changing technology in the fields of electrical and computer engineering, apply acquired skills in solving engineering problems and transfer knowledge on new research-based technologies by directly cooperating with the economy. The prerequisites to do this are to continuously conduct scientific and professional research, upgrade and modernise laboratory equipment, cooperate with academic and research institutions, collaborate with the industry and network with partners in Croatia and abroad. The final aim is to raise the technological level of production systems in the region and increase the competitiveness of Croatian products in European and world markets.

This form of cooperation contributes to a wide diversity of research we conduct at our institution. Moreover, such cooperation can lead to interesting solutions companies can commercialise, so it is indeed a win-win situation. By assigning seminars, research papers, Bachelor and Master theses, it is possible to engage students in joint R&D projects thus preparing them for their future jobs and challenges they will eventually face.
