Market & Competition Analysis Engineer (m/f)

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support growth of own component share in Yazaki W/H
• Identify market trends in the automotive industry to support the definition of Advanced Development Projects
• Support PDM Team to manage marketing and promotion instruments
• Investigate cross-selling potential of newly developed products
• Investigate European potential for insourcing projects
• Analyze localization potential for parts produced in Yazaki overseas facilities
• Investigate competitor products with big European market share for potential 2nd source activities
• Support introduction of a product catalog web application
  • Identify “similar parts” within and across regions. Determine opportunities to rationalize the catalogue
• Support quotation activities by gathering technical product requirements
• Provide technical training at product level

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of economics and an understanding of cost structures are of great advantage
• Min 3 yrs. in automotive business on Tier 1 or Tier 2 level with solid knowledge about customer and supplier landscape in Europe are advantage
• Understanding of basic functional features of automotive connection systems
• Strong analytical background and professional presentation skills
• High level of discipline when managing product data
• Good networking and team working competency
• Excellent communication skills in English
